Ravneet Kaur appointed as new CCI Chairperson

On 16 May 2023, Ms. Ravneet Kaur was appointed as the Chairperson to the CCI. Ms. Kaur is a civil servant with 35 years' experience and has in a number of departments, including the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, the Department of Financial Services, the Department of Economic Affairs, and the Department of Disinvestment.

Her appointment is for a period of five years from the date of assuming charge, or until she attains the age of 65 years, or until further orders.

With her appointment as Chairperson, the CCI has attained its minimum quorum of 3 members, and in the coming weeks, we can expect the CCI to resume issuing orders on behavioural investigations.
